Swimming with rain drops falling onto my back is a familiar feeling .... but there is something about snowflakes falling onto me - soft yet cold, melting instantly against the warm contrast of my back - that I'm still not used to.
Cheers from the outdoor life of January in Boulder!

That is freaking AWESOME! We need an outdoor pool in Cleveland... big time. I would actually enjoy swimming then (that's a lie...)!
ummmm... "melting instantly against the warm contrast of my back" sounds like you snatched that from a porno flick hahaha.
I'm assuming the pool is very heated which seems very energy inefficient in an area with a bunch of folks that tend to be more "green". Would think getting out would be...umm...nipply. Crazy stuff!
Mentioned you in my book review (Scott Rigby's "Unthinkable") last night (towards the bottom of the post as it is the most recent book I've read). :) COOL!
That is awesome, but has to be to most energy inefficient pool in the country.
Still very jealous. My outdoor pool is only open from June-August.
Everyone and their energy efficiency and their pool out there. Don't pretend to not understand these "green" organic people out there.
Obviously if they are "green" health nuts they eat well. What happens when you eat well? You fart a lot. Their pool is probably only heated because they are all farting their brains out from all the healthy food they eat.
HENCE, the energy efficiency you are all looking for.
Sometimes these things are soooo simple that you over look them huh?
That is just wicked!! We need that in Alaska too!!! I would love to swim outside right now....without the threat of dieing!
That is an amazing picture. Can I come visit?
Ok. That pool is pretty awesome - I think you win in the 'coolest pool' competition!
wow,i must say that it's an amazing blog post. I am residing in Cleveland TN, i will definitely visit here.
Oh add this to my bucket list!
Am I a terrible person that I don't care how inefficient it is?
That's amazing! :)
That is sweet! The walk from the pool to the locker room would SUCK! But I think it would all be worth it. Must cost so much money to keep that pool heated.
